Red Telephone, a creation of Yasmin Joan Qureshi (that’s me!) recognised as one of the ’24 Most Influential Bristolians Under 24: 2018 List’. This project looks at documenting past experiences that come from the subconscious in the forms of visual art, conversation and art & therapy workshops.
This has given me the opportunity to come to terms with my own trauma that took place through my childhood in the form of illness.
The work has also become a current practise in how I move forward today with other personal challenges.
Red Telephone is a celebration of embracing all experiences and exploring those moments through surreal creatures or whatever strange form fills my subconscious.
